Komainu: The Lure

This is was entry for Jazza's COTM (Challenge Of The Month), Open Catergory: UNDERTHESURFACE

'The wind blew her hat down by the temple's gate. She chase it down only to see that someone had picked it up for her. She saw a smile.'

I love how this piece turn out.

In case you don't know, (I got this from wiki) Komainu (狛犬), often called lion-dogs in English, are statue pairs of lion-like creatures either guarding the entrance or the inner shrine of many Japanese Shinto shrines or kept inside the inner shrine itself, where they are not visible to the public.
